I have always viewed my role as educator far more as a vocation than a career. I have spent the past fourteen years in public education, serving as an administrator for six years. I truly love what I do and can see myself doing nothing else. As Principal of St. Michael Parish School, I believe that God has placed me where I belong, as He always has. As a graduate of Catholic schools myself, I sense the pride and compassion the school community has to offer, and I look forward to working with Monsignor Peterson, and the faculty, staff, parishioners and broader community to continue to advance the mission of this wonderful school.
As Principal of our school, I promise our parents a safe, faith-based, learning environment for their children in Preschool through Eighth grade. I am joined in this commitment by our amazing faculty and staff who are dedicated to each student’s success in the classroom. We partner with parents who are the primary educators of their children. Parents support us with their time, talents, and treasures for the benefit of all St. Michael students. Our students show their love for Christ and others by looking after one another, treating their peers with respect, doing their best every day, and caring for the environment. We are a community working together, valuing children and teaching values.
It is our goal to offer an excellent education where diversity of learning styles is honored and where individual differences are respected. Educating the complete child is paramount to his/her success. Because learning takes place beyond the classroom, service to our community is an integral component of our program. We are preparing our students to be responsible citizens and stewards in a diverse and global community.
