Eighth grader Faith Zende has been chosen as St. Michael’s 2020 Aquinas Medal Winner, which is the highest award a student can receive from the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.
Through the Aquinas Medal award, the diocese recognizes one student from each school at the highest academic grade level who embodies the qualities they seek to instill in them. The Medal is not intended as strictly an academic recognition but “to make visible those young people in our schools who embody the spirit of the school’s mission and the philosophy of Catholic school education.”
Faith will receive her award at a special ceremony for Catholic Schools to be held in the spring in Morgantown.
Faith is the daughter of Kurt and Rose Zende. Congratulations to Faith and the Zende family on this wonderful honor!
