Eighth grader Ryan Blair has been chosen as St. Michael’s 2021 Aquinas Medal Winner, which is the highest award a student can receive from the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.
Through the Aquinas Medal award, the diocese recognizes one student from each school at the highest academic grade level who embodies the qualities they seek to instill in them. The Medal is not intended as strictly an academic recognition but “to make visible those young people in our schools who embody the spirit of the school’s mission and the philosophy of Catholic school education.”
Ryan will receive his award at a special ceremony for Catholic Schools to be held in the spring in Morgantown.
Ryan is the son of Larry and Alecia Blair. Congratulations to Ryan and the Blair family on this wonderful honor!
