I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year at St. Michael Parish School. Our motto for this school year is “To Teach as Jesus Did”. This year will mark my 22nd year at St. Michael’s, and the fifth in the administrative role. I was hired back in 2000 as a 6th grade teacher. I have worn many hats over the years. I have been a self contained classroom teacher, junior high science teacher, community leader, Science Lab Coordinator, Athletic Director and Assistant Principal. This school is a part of my being and my second home. I remain committed to continually improving what we have to offer and staying up to date with all of the new technology and curriculum.
As the leader of our school, I promise our parents a safe, faith-based, learning environment for their children in Preschool through Eighth grade. We have an amazing faculty and staff who are dedicated to each student’s success in the classroom. We partner with parents who are the primary educators of their children. Parents support us with their time, talents, and treasures for the benefit of all St. Michael students. Our students show their love for Christ and others by looking after one another, treating their peers with respect, doing their best every day, and caring for the environment. We are a community working together, valuing children and teaching values.
It is our goal to offer an excellent education where diversity of learning styles is honored and where individual differences are respected. Educating the complete child is paramount to his/her success. Because learning takes place beyond the classroom, service to our community is an integral component of our program. We are preparing our students to be responsible citizens and stewards in a diverse and global community.
Our goal is to foster the growth of the whole child during and after their time with us. With a strong faith, commitment, and team of students, families, and staff, anything is possible! My door is always open to suggestions and input. I welcome and encourage all family members to be involved in our school and church in any way possible. I look forward to another wonderful year. Thank you for choosing St. Michael Parish School.
